I am all in favor of getting rid of harmful chemicals in agriculture, but "for thousands of years" the the world was generally undernourished and all too frequently starving. I believe that we can develop non-GMO methods to maximize crop yields and continue to have more than enough food to feed the world. (Getting it to hungry people is will remain a challenge, but one thing at a time.)
