Winter Olympic Games 2026: Canada's hockey team jersey with the black maple leaf says it all

Adam Joseph van Koeverden MP and the Secretary of State for Sport carried the Canadian maple leaf flag to the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games 2026. He was the flag bearer as and a Canadian sprint kayaker, as well as an Olympic gold medallist.
Here's the official advertisement from the Liberal government about Team Canada: "Under the maple leaf, Canadians are united. Team Canada athletes represent the best of our nation - determination, ambition, and a collective understanding that we are stronger when we are united. We knew the Canadian women’s hockey team would take care of this peace tower flag on behalf of all Team Canada athletes, and the 41 million Canadians who are cheering them on."
