Moscow Patriarch Kirill has announced statistical data on the life of the Russian Orthodox Church. Since 2009 this Church has increased the number of dioceses by 144. Since last year over 1300 new churches have been consecrated. The number of male and female monasteries has increased. Unlike the Catholic Church, the Russian Orthodox Church is not plagued by liturgical abuses and doctrinal confusion.

Gosh, poor St Andrew's: the M.O. of the Canadian church for quite some time. They seem to continue to be rather down-at-heel and peasantry. Nevertheless, in Ontario and Quebec, one finds a resurgence of great Roman Catholic beauty, e.g. St Michael's Cathedral, Toronto; ND Basilica in Montreal, etc....
