The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) has issued a press release on yesterday's private audience with Francis.
- Francis received the Superior General, Father Andrzej Komorowski, at the latter's request.
- Komorowski was accompanied by Father Benoît Paul-Joseph, Superior of the French District, and Father Vincent Ribeton, Rector of the Seminary of St Peter in Wigratzbad.
- The meeting was basically about nothing, expressing "deep gratitude" for the Decree of 11 February 2022, which confirmed the use of the 1962 liturgical books, and sharing the difficulties encountered in their application.
- Francis was "very understanding".
- He invited the Fraternity of St Peter, in perfect party language, "to continue to build ecclesial communion ever more fully through its own proper charism."

Why on earth do you ask to meet with an apostate who is out to do you harm?

As with all things, the chickens will soon come home to roost. Or, perhaps better, the bed you make up, you must sleep in….😐

What the FSSP didn’t include in their press release that was immediately leaked out on Twitter, was antipope bergoglio’s request that they take part in concelebration at the Chrism Mass. The FSSPs constitution acknowledges and supports Vatican II and that’s how bergoglio is ultimately going to destroy them. Pray for the FSSP that they recognize and resist this wicked antipope.

Francis is definitely up to something. Might be he wants to do a bit of segregation by outlawing all latin masses except those of the FSSP, since he knows there is no way they could cover even a tiny fraction of one percent of the world's old latin mass venues. That will force latin mass goers to associate themselves with the SSPX, allowing Francis to then call them schismatics and no longer his …More

FDDP also lends credibility to the Novus Ordo in order to keep their status.

Good for the FSSP, maybe, but what of all the diocesan indult Masses which have been cancelled thanks to Francis? Does the FSSP feel any solidarity with the victims of Francis?

Is he playing the “Stalin-plucks-the-bird” game?

The rumor is that PF will allow them the TLM but their seminary program will have to align with the new-theology, and homilies as well.

@philosopher yes, and I don't know if you and others are aware Francis has added all sorts of new requirements to the P.P.F. [Program for Priestly Formation] making it longer for young men to complete seminary. No more "keep your head down and just get thru it" advice to the traditional leaning. @philosopher yes, and I don't know if you and others are aware Francis has added all sorts of new requirements to the P.P.F. [Program for Priestly Formation] making it longer for young men to complete seminary. No more "keep your head down and just get thru it" advice to the traditional leaning. This was done to ensure a proper "formation" since so many priests (even young ones) are burning out and leaving ministry. In my diocese this has happened to many priests recently ordained [less than 15 yrs.] even vocation directors! And this isn't just men caught in sexual scandals; many are simply disillusioned & feel betrayed. It's like what happened right after Vatican II (on a side note, this history is still denied. For instance my confessor says "everyone was excited about the changes. Those who left didn't really belong in priesthood", etc.) Francis has signaled what he wants in seminarians - regular guys who play soccer, do social work, and - if they watch porn - no big deal! 😫 🙏

That would destroy the charism of the FSSP. Even more than preserving the traditional liturgy, they exist to preserve traditional priestly formation, which is also the original reason Msgr. Lefebvre founded the SSPX.

@Orthocat. I thoroughly enjoy your posts. Once again you are spot on.

The ONLY reason the FSSP is a consideration to Francis is because Frank & Co fear that their priests and the flock…along with their $$ will flee to the SSPX. Which, BTW, is the sole reason for their existnce in the first place.
