Cardinal Cupich and Leo XIV Share Ecclesial Vision and Devotion for Francis: Pro-homosexual Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich told homosex activist James Martin SJ on April 21 that he has a decade-long relationship with Pope Leo XIV and often borrows his language when commenting on political events. Cupich recalled that Prevost attended his 2014 installation as archbishop of Chicago. They grew closer when Prevost became a member of the Congregation for Bishops and later became prefect: “He had been here at Holy Name Cathedral a couple of times to visit with me, we had lunch here… We have a very good history together working on important projects and had a great devotion to Pope Francis.”
Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich said this week that he has worked closely with Pope Leo XIV for years and often draws on the pontiff’s language when speaking on political issues. Appearing on Father James Martin’s podcast, Cupich said his relationship with Leo dates back to 2014 and deepened through their shared service on the Dicastery for Bishops. “We have a very good history together working on important projects,” Cupich said, adding that both shared “a great devotion to Pope Francis.”
Talking to Gloria.tv, Bishop Athanasius Schneider asks Pope Leo XIV to permit the episcopal consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. Since Leo XIV continually calls for peace in the world, the bishop argues that he should also foster peace within the Church. If he cannot make peace with the faithful and clergy of the FSSPX — Catholics who love and pray for the Pope — then his appeals for peace will lose credibility. Bishop Schneider therefore recommends that the Pope allow the consecrations as a gesture of reconciliation and to build bridges with the FSSPX, with whom he should continue discussions towards a lasting solution.

Our Lady of Montserrat - April 27 The image of Our Lady of Montserrat, popularly known as La Moreneta (the Dark One), due to the dark colour of Her skin, is a truly beautiful 12th century Romanesque polychrome carving. Pope Leo XIII proclaimed Our Lady of Montserrat Patron Saint of Catalonia in 1881. In 1947, the image was enthroned in a silver altarpiece, paid for by popular subscription and installed in the upper section of the basilica apse. Artistically, the image imitates a popular model, that of Our Lady in Majesty, with a wholly frontal attitude and Baby Jesus on Her lap in the centre. Both Mother and Child are wearing crowns. The figure of Our Lady stretches out Her right hand, which holds the globe, symbolising the cosmos. Our Lady nearly rests Her left hand on the Child’s shoulder, indicating that this omnipotent king is Her Son. With His right hand, the Child gives a blessing, whilst His left hand holds a pinecone, symbol of fertility and everlasting life. Our Lady of …Көбірек
April 27 Our Lady of MONTSERRAT. ChesiLorenzo on Feb 8, 2011. A rugged mountain not far from Barcelona is home to one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in Spain: the Shrine of Our Lady of Montserrat. Since the 12th century, pilgrims have been drawn to the mountain to venerate the miraculous statue of the Black Madonna (La Moreneta). In 1996, 2.6 million visitors came to Montserrat. History of Montserrat Shrine According to Catholic tradition, the statue of the Black Virgin of Montserrat was carved by St. Luke around 50 AD and brought to Spain. It was later hidden from the Moors in a cave (Santa Cova, the Holy Grotto), where it was rediscovered in 880 AD. According to the legend of the discovery, which was first recorded in the 13th century, the statue was discovered by shepherds. They saw a bright light and heard heavenly music that eventually led them to the grotto and the statue. The Bishop of Manresa, present at the discovery, suggested that it be moved to Manresa, but …Көбірек
Montserrat - Monistrol de Montserrat, Barcelona The community today is made up of some 80 monks. As at all Benedictine monasteries, the monks of Montserrat follow the Rule of Saint Benedict, devoting their lives to prayer, welcoming pilgrims and visitors, and working. Prayer sets the rhythm for the monastery day. The day begins and ends in prayer. Every day, in addition to celebrating the Eucharist, the monks meet five times to pray (the liturgy of the hours). They also have time for private prayer and for reading the Bible and other spiritual works. All this helps create an atmosphere of prayer throughout the day. Escolania de Montserrat Montserrat is home to one of the oldest boys’ choirs in Europe. Documents testify to the existence of a religious and music school in Montserrat as far back as the 14th century. The Escolania now accompanies religious ceremonies and communal prayers in the basilica. All the choir members receive a high standard of musical training, along with human …Көбірек
2 Peter 2:21-22 It would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than, having known it, to turn back and abandon the holy commandment that was handed on to them. What happened to them manifests the truth of the proverbs: “The dog returns to its own vomit,” and “The washed sow returns to wallowing in the mud.” Hebrews 10:26 Apostasy Remains Unforgiven. If we deliberately persist in sin after having received the knowledge of the truth, then there no longer remains any sacrifice for sins.
[Saint Bridget of Sweden – XIV Century AD; Uppland, Sweden/Rome, Papal States; Patron Saint of Europe, Widow, Mystic, Spiritual Writer] Revelation 4 ~ The fourth revelation in the Book of Questions, in which Christ beautifully praises every limb of the Virgin Mary his Mother, giving them a spiritual and allegorical meaning by comparing them to virtues; he also declares the Virgin to be most worthy of a queenly crown. The Son speaks: ”I am crowned king in my divinity without beginning and without end. A crown has neither beginning nor end; thus it is a symbol of my power, which had no beginning and will have no end. I had another crown, too, in my keeping: I myself, God, am that crown. It was prepared for the person who had the greatest love for me. And you, my most sweet Mother, won this crown and drew it to yourself through righteousness and love. The angels and other saints bear witness that your love for me was more ardent and your chastity more pure than that of any other, and that …Көбірек

"Second question. ”How does your divinity encompass all things in itself yet is encompassed by none, and contains all things yet is contained by none?” Answer to the second question. ”As to how my divinity can encompass all things in itself, I answer: I, God, am spirit. I speak, and it is done. I command, and all obey me. I am truly he who gives being and life to all, who, before making the sky and the mountains and the earth, exist in myself, who am above and beyond all things, who am within all things, and all things are in me, and without me there is nothing. And since my Spirit blows where and when it will, and can do all things, and knows all things, and is swifter and more agile than all other spirits, possessing every power and seeing beforehand all things present, past, and future, accordingly, my Spirit, that is my divinity, is rightly incomprehensible, yet comprehends all things.”
The Vatican has accepted the appeal filed by the Benedictine monks of the Valle de los Caídos against the Spanish government’s planned “re-signification” of the monument, according to Spanish media. The move is being seen as a setback for the pro-homosexual Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid, whom critics accuse of having capitulated to the government during negotiations. Cardinal Cobo has repeatedly said that the Archdiocese of Madrid has no authority over the basilica or the Benedictine community and that responsibility lies with the Vatican. The complex includes the Basilica of the Holy Cross and the Benedictine monastery. The Sánchez government’s plans amount to the secularisation of an important Catholic religious sites. The government is expected to present in June the redevelopment project known as “La base y la cruz,” which will lay out the next stage of the redesign. This will coincide with the June visit of Pope Leo XIV to Spain. #newsDrmmbzsumh
The worst thing for the Vatican is that nobody reads the Vatican media anymore. Quotations are useless anyway.
In the first instalment of this exclusive investigation, Silere non possum brings to light a system of connections, pressures and intimidation which, over the years, has sought to strike at our newspaper in order to delegitimise and silence it. At the heart of the inquiry are journalists and those who falsely flaunt credentials, apparatuses of power, murky circles and a network of mutual protection which, as is amply documented, always operates in the same manner: going after those who practise free journalism and drag their dirty secrets into the open. You will find no gossip, innuendo or hearsay here, unlike in certain psycho-blogs and in newspapers propped up by power elites. You will find audio recordings, documents, images, chat logs and facts. This first instalment pieces together some of the names and methods of a system which, rather than pursuing the truth, seeks to defend itself and crush anyone who refuses to bow. This is only the beginning. Live at 6pm (Vatican …Көбірек

Amid growing controversy over the future of the Valley of the Fallen, Spain’s Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has defended Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid. Bolaños told LaSexta.com that the plan to secularise the religious site was not the cardinal's initiative, but the result of an agreement reached directly with the Vatican. He emphasised that no personal deal had been made with Cobo, who has faced significant pressure from Catholics over the issue. The minister also said that the Vatican is fully committed to transforming the Valley from a monastery into a site of "democratic memory". Addressing divisions within the Catholic Church, Bolaños described it as a 'plural organisation', while criticising more traditional sectors that oppose the transformation and suggesting that they are out of step with 'contemporary society'. He also placed the “re-signification” of the Valley within a broader set of negotiations between the Spanish government and the Church, covering issues …Көбірек

Ambiences, Customs and Civilizations Catolicismo, Campos (Rio de Janeiro), no. 23 – November 1952 by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira How the modern world, caught up in sensuality, deceives itself when it sees only decadence in aging. When one knows how to esteem the spirit more highly than the body, growing old is to grow into what is most noble, the soul. Although aging does entail bodily decadence, this is only the material element in the human person. The body may indeed lose its beauty and its vigor, but it may enrich itself with the translucence of a soul that knew how to develop and grow along the course of life. This translucence constitutes the highest beauty the human face may acquire. _____________________________* * * * ______________________________ Saint Mary Euphrasia Pelletier was born in the island of Noirmoutier of pious parents on July 31, 1796, and received in baptism the name of Rose Virginia.
